The Ellen Hopkins K-Kids from Moorhead, with the help of their advisor Jen Nelson, helped educate their grade school on the power of a penny.

Otter Risers – Fergus Falls were recently named the "Outstanding Non-Profit of the Year" by the Minnesota Special Olympics. Otter Risers Kiwanis has a history of supporting Special Olympics, as noted in the Enquirer, our club newsletter in June of 1980. One notable event was the sponsorship of the Italian Team at the Global Special Olympics held in the Twin Cities held in 1991. We continue to support the local Special Olympics organization each year by volunteering to assist with the annual bowling event and through financial donations.
