Message from the District Governor

BRUCE KLAIR
 Governor’s Message

Welcome to the Minnesota-Dakotas District Website.

The Minnesota Dakotas District of Kiwanis International is a group of nearly 6,000 women and men dedicated to doing our part to change the world one child and one community at a time. As members of more than 160 Kiwanis clubs throughout the states of Minnesota, North and South Dakota and Superior, Wisconsin, we work within our communities doing service projects that address specific needs of our communities. The slogan of Kiwanis is “Serving the Children of the World.” Kiwanis is designed for individuals who desire personal involvement in the leadership and improvement of their community.

The International organization has clubs in more than 70 nations and has nearly 300,000 members. Kiwanis International is unmatched in programs offering opportunities for young people to grow in leadership skills, experience the joy of serving others and learn more about themselves, their communities and the world. Clubs in the Minnesota Dakotas District support K-Kids clubs (for elementary students), Builders clubs (for middle school students), Key clubs (for high school students), Circle K clubs (for students in college) and Aktion clubs (for adults with disabilities). Our clubs support other worthy projects from playgrounds, parks and swimming pools to hospitals and long term care facilities, and many others.

Membership in a Kiwanis club will give you the chance to meet other local business people and concerned community leaders. It also will give you the opportunity to contribute to the improvement of your community. Please explore our web site. You will find many items of interest. If you are interested in learning more about the rewards of membership use any of the contact opportunities you will find on the pages that follow. Enjoy your tour and thank you for visiting.
