Kiwanis International is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
The Minnesota-Dakotas District was established in 1918. The three clubs in the District at that time were St. Paul, Duluth and Minneapolis. Now over 90 years later, the Minnesota-Dakotas District remains active with seven regions and 161 clubs.
Members in every corner of the region are committed to developing future generations of leaders through guidance and example. They are ordinary people performing extraordinary work in your community every day. From revitalizing neighborhoods to organizing youth sports programs, from tutoring to building playgrounds, Kiwanians willingly perform countless projects to help children.

Governor’s Message
Welcome to the Minnesota-Dakotas District Website.
The Minnesota Dakotas District of Kiwanis International is a group of 6,000 women and men dedicated to do our part to change the world one child and one community at a time. As members of more than 160 Kiwanis clubs throughout the states of Minnesota, North and South Dakota and Superior, Wisconsin, we work within our communities doing service projects that address specific needs of our communities.
Kiwanis International is unmatched in programs offering opportunities for young people to grow in leadership skills, experience the joy of serving others and learn more about themselves, their communities and the world. Clubs in the Minnesota Dakotas District support K-Kids clubs (for elementary students), Builders clubs (for middle school students), Key clubs (for high school students) and Circle K clubs (for students in college). Our clubs support other worthy projects from playgrounds, parks and swimming pools to hospitals and long term care facilities, and many others.
Please explore our web site. You will find many items of interest. If you are interested in learning more about the rewards of membership use any of the contact opportunities you will find on the pages that follow. Enjoy your tour and thank you for visiting.
