Marion and I moved to Newberg,OR last August and soon joined the local Kiwanis Club. We were welcomed by the leadership as well as the District Governor who sent us a note soon as he heard of our presence in Oregon! We also had a note of welcome from International President-elect Sylvestor Neal who was in the same class of Governors as Marion.
Recently in consultation with Mary Bowen (Fridley Key Club Advisor) I was able to establish a "twinning" relationship between the Fridley Key Club and our local Key Club. I am to speak to the Newberg High School Key Club on April 23.
We have been asked to co-chair the International Relations Committee of our Club and look forward to many continuing years of Kiwanis Service.
We are only 22 miles SW of Portland. Our club meets on Thursday noon. Come and see us if you are in the area.
