HOW IS YOUR CLUB DOING IN MEMBERSHIP GROWTH
6/23/2010 - District: Minnesota-Dakotas - Submitted by: Chuck Schroder

It's not to late for your club to be on the positive side on membership growth. Did your club have a new member drive in the month of May as requested by president Paul? If not, why not do it now? It is never to late to bring in a new member into the worlds greatest service organization. I'm sure that each of you know one person that would be a great member and all you have to do is ask them to join.

If every club in our district would gain one new member for the year, just think what the impact could be on the children around the world. Just think, that new member might be the link to a new service program for your club or be the Kiwanis international president one day. IF WE DON'T ASK, THEY WON'T JOIN. So give that person a chance to enjoy Kiwanis as much as you do. Maybe you can have a contest in your club of some sort or offer some sort of incentive, but do something.

Your district just lost a long time club, because of lack of growth in the past few years. Now that community's youth will suffer along with people of that area. Don't let this happen in your community. I had the opportunity this week to see a father come from Illinois to install his daughter into Kiwanis. Rotary had asked her to join, but because a Kiwanis member went to her work and followed up with a phone call, a third generation Kiwanis member was installed. If you need help, let me know and we will be there to do what we can. Thanks for all you do for Kiwanis.
