The Hendricks Minnesota Kiwanis Club provided funds for the Lake Hendricks pedestrian bridge as seen in the attached picture.  The bridge allows children and adults a pleasant walking path connecting the boat docking and beach with the park and playground area.  The bridge is located over the lake outlet which provides fish and fowl a pleasant habitat as the pelican is enjoying.      The club also recently provided a contribution to the Southwest Minnesota Honor Flight program.  Three area World War II vets were recently able to participate in the first Honor Flight of this area which allowed them to visit many of the Washington, DC highlights especially the World War II memorial.  Future flights are planned to allow additional veterans the same opportunity.
