The Minnesota Dakotas Education Foundation this spring awarded 54 scholarships to deserving students in our 3-state District. These students were chosen to receive the scholarships based on their superior applications and recommendations from 3 references. For these 54 students the funds represent additional support of their education goals, and with the funds, help reduce the debt they would otherwise accumulate while pursuing their studies. The Foundation is a real opportunity fund to each and every recipient as the scholarship may open the door to post secondary education. Reaching the education goal will open other opportunities for the successful graduate. The Foundation offers donors the opportunity to help change the lives of scholarship recipients. Contributing to the Foundation is important now, too, given that market conditions have reduced the value of invested funds. The Foundation offers the opportunity for donors to memorialize deceased family members and friends. It offers the opportunity to recognize Club officers and members who provide exceptional service. The Minnesota Dakotas Education Foundation is an opportunity for scholarship recipients and donors alike. Recipients have the opportunity to enhance their lives, and therefore, society as a whole; and donors have the opportunity to make the world a better place by adding their gifts to those of others to be passed on to the next generation of students.
